Daddy, Look at Me Grow!

We were in the living room today doing some tummy time, and Miss Amelia learned a new trick!

First Day of School/Matt's new toy

Sydney and Nathan started school this past week. They were definitely ready and are loving it. Spencer will start his transitional kindergarten program next week. This month has been pretty busy but uneventful. The highlights are: Matt's 36th birthday, school starting, church-church-church, Matt working on getting his business going, and playing with the dog. The picture of Matt on the long board was his present to himself using birthday money. Thanks mom and dad!! He likes to ride it up and down the street. I have ridden it too and I must admit it is pretty fun. I am imagining riding it all the way from Vivian Park to Will's Pit Stop in Provo. It is all slightly down hill there and I have seen long boarders do that. Can we strap it on the top of the van on our next trip home?

This Summer!

Yada Yada Yada

So we were sitting in Sacrament meeting today, and a member of the Stake Presidency was speaking. I admit, I was looking through my primary binder and trying to listen at the same time. I then heard, "I would like Sister Lisa Hill to come up to the stand and recite the words of the primary song 'I Know that My Savior Loves Me', then share her testimony of how this relates to our lives." Really?? So I walked up there and sat next to the Bishop for a minute while he was still talking. The Bishop leaned over to me and whispered, "Do you know the words to that song?" I whispered back "I did." My mind was a complete BLANK! I couldn't think of even how to start the song, let alone recite both verses on the spot. I must have looked like a deer in headlights because when I gave "that look" to our primary chorister in the audience, she quickly found them and had her daughter run them up to me just as I began talking. I completely forgot the second part of his request, so I do believe that the rest of my impromptu talk was just yada, yada, yada.

Our Time in Utah

Hello Family and Alan! We are posting pictures of Amelia so Alan can see how much she grows. But also so you can see a little of our Utah fun. We miss Alan and can't wait to see him again. We love you all!

Of course we wanted a waterfall picture too, just so at some point when she is awake, I can show Amelia all the great things she did as a baby!

The Ark toy. It is very popular, so the Health Dept only allows so many kids on it at a time. We were assigned a 20 minute time frame, and let the kids play just before leaving...it made for a wet ride home in Amanda's car, I am sure. Can you find Lily?

Henry was a little more concerned with getting wet until he found a floating stick he wanted.

This summer has been super fun for us. Sorry we haven't posted for so long. This has been an all night affair. Dedicated to you Lisa. Some pictures of what we have been up to are pictures of family events-so I posted most of the stuff I have of everybody minus a few. Well this I thought should be documented. Somewhere during med school Steve began nourishing some seeds of interest. He is my handy man wood worker now. He tackled this old desk. Sanded, painted, and I don't have a pic of the final product but he cut one side of the desk and made this long door that our computer tower sits in...but the side with the tower looks like the other side (2 drawers). UMMMMMazing. I will have to post pictures of how great it looks now. Lily at Easter. I couldn't get anybody to go with me but she totally won this great rabbit and egg dyeing kit. It was a great local easter egg hunt.

This was really good day. Everybody seemed so happy and it was fun to be together and hear stories about Grandma. She left a legacy of love, work, and faith.

These are pictures of our pre graduation trip to Seattle and Victoria. Steve and I left our kids with Steve's awesome cousins and headed out on our own to celebrate. This picture is one of the best. Our last day in Victoria this dude was out on the corner dressed as this Star Wars villan playing the violin. Steve laughed pretty hard and it was a tip well worth the entertainment.
We went to these beautiful gardens in Victoria. Some lady started it out of her backyard. Her husband was a minor so they had these big holes on their property and she turned it into this work of art. It was crazy busy. Steve was such a trooper about going. I really wanted to see it. In this picture he is showing you how tough and manly he is...even in a flower garden.

Steve says this picture of him pulling money out of his wallet is pretty symbolic of our vacation.
