St. Patty Day Parade

This guy was on top of a float for Ghengis Grill. Matt thought he was great sitting up there so serious and tough.

Another example of the kind of advertising that was at this crazy parade. These guys are advertising for a bail bondsman.

Spencer and Nathan learned quick that if they waved at the people passing by, they would get stuff thrown at them. Spencer later said "this is the BEST PARADE EVER!"

Matt and the kids. This was in a seedy part of town--notice the train tracks right behind Matt.

The kids had a contest to see who could get the most beads. I think Nate may have won.

French Quarter in New Orleans

Park in New Orleans--I was amazed at the Spanish Moss trees.

At a plantation near New Orleans. It is famous for the 300 year old oak trees that line the walkway.

Went to a "Bunny Brunch" at Lifetime Fitness last Saturday. It was a definite hit. This is a picture of Sydney and Spencer's face painting.

Hasta Luego, Sayonara, Adios, and Bon Voyage Bountiful!!!

Provo Here We Come!!! Steve (as you all know by now) is in at Utah Valley and we are supa' excited. He really liked the program there and especially all the great residents and staff he will get to work with. I really like the public library down there (seriously one of a kind) and for this mother of two it will be a weekly jaunt I (and my chick-a-dees) will delight in, the public trails (sweet), and the fabulous southern fare (cafe rio is absolutely better in Provo, for whatever reason). I am happy to still be close to family and it will be nice to spread out our tentacles locally and feel out where we want to end up when all is said and done. Oh, and how could I forget the best perk of all...income!!! We really double it since we're going from - to +. Oh the joys of employment.
It's been months since I've posted so I'll add a few pictures since a few is all I've got...I stopped taking pictures lately...hmmmm.... maybe that can be a "spring resolution".
This picture got flipped somehow in between uploading and here. She was upside down when I went in to tuck her in before I went to bed...so peaceful.
He is so cute! This little guy is sporting 12 teeth and still crawling crazy fast!
Our 12 month old Halloween costume on our 3 year old lady. The nicest looking monster I've every seen!
This is after he fell asleep in the car...out for the count (that is ketchup on his mouth-McDonald's delievered once again).
Cousins....La! Matching green jammies for St Patrick's Day (at least that's what they said).

Flat Stanley

Spencer had a preschool assignment this past week. Their class read a book called "Flat Stanley". In the story, a bulletin board fell on Stanley and made him flat. Being flat had its privilages though, for now he could slide under doors and fit nicely into an envelope and travel by mail. For Spencer's assignment, he was supposed to mail Stanley to someone for an adventure. He mailed Stanley to Aunt Lindsay and Uncle Alan. Boy did he have an adventure. I thought you might like seeing it. Enjoy!

A Baby Poll

I have decided that with just 10 weeks left we should start planning for this baby. My regional nurse, Meredith, gave us our first baby gift and registered me on Babies R' Us yesterday while I was working in the OR. But I feel that there is a vast amount of knowledge out there waiting to be tapped. Therefore I am taking a poll. This is mostly for the woman, but the men are welcome to contribute as I am sure they have great insight into the topic by now as well. This poll consists of 2 questions:

1) What are the 10 things that you think are essentials for me to get in preparation for this baby?

2) What were some of the things you liked most that you had for your babies?

I await your answers with bated breath.
