Some of our Adventures.

It's been a really long time since the last time I posted.  In fact I JUST barely changed the template from the Valentines Day theme and I haven't posted our trip to Arizona!  Here is a recap of some of the happenings that have been happening to our family.

We are still fans...
We went to Arizona to vacation at Linds and Alan's house.  What a great destination!  They made us feel so comfortable and we played lots of games, ate good food, watched our kids play, Higgins learned how to ride his balance bike  (that he got a good year ago) from watching Amelia and is totally a pro at it now, and we loved seeing all the projects Alan has done and the ones he is dreaming of.  This is Aida's preferred sitting position in the stroller.  She likes her legs propped up!
Pheonix Zoo.
We walked the entire zoo!!!  It was a giant zoo with lots of fun things to see.
Hot dog roast in the back yard.
Funny Faces.
My favorite attraction that we went to was the train park.  WAY Fun!  This is the kids on a train.
On the carousel at the train park.
The kids got to ride in an awesome train around the park.  We opted  to sit in an open cart for the ride.  The kids chose the enclosed cattle car.  There were so many kids who piled in this car (the last one on the train).  Then the conductor locks them in.  It was strange to see all their hands and fingers sticking out. At the end of the ride some kids came out crying and some loved it.

We stopped at the Hoover Damn on the way down and on the way back because it was so cool.
It was fun to see Ang, Jed, and the kids when they came home this spring.  Steve got on the tramp to jump them.
Watching Abe and his race car.  SO COOL!

Looks like a party.
McDonalds has been helping us make so many of the 5-6 hour drives we've been embarking on this spring.
We are buying this house...Here are some pics.
There is a laundry shoot in the house and when you open those cupboards the laundry drops out.  This feature in this house has really increased the excitement our kids have felt about moving.
Love the laundry room attached to the closet. So exciting.
We went to Mexico on vacation.  The lizards there are all over the place.  They are like squirrels or chipmunks.
Too bad you couldn't have been there with us.  We felt sorry... can you tell?

What I was most excited for:  beach, drinks, and a good book.
They had these awesome swing seats where you could eat/rest/get drunk, etc.  I would love to put one of them or some of them in a backyard.
Food at a local taco shop.  HOT salsa but good food.

We went to see some ruins.  Beautiful.

The resort was niiiiiice.
The day after we got home Steve went on a
wilderness training camp.  They learned all about survival and had fun too.

They went biking, jeeping, and 4 wheeling.

While Steve was adventuring, I was babysitting Lucy (Prestons dog).  Aida really liked her bed.

This was a 3rd year training.  So his coworkers all got to go together.  Looks so fun!

Memorial day was so fun!  I had a great time up at the ranch.  We really do have great family.
She loved the tractor.

There was tons of good food.

Mark and Jenny brought their 4 wheelers (WAY fun).
Fishing with Dad and Grandpa.
Higgins was seriously "covered in fun" as Emily put it.  It was entertaining to watch them have such a good time and explore and adventure all over.

This lady was sitting in the wheat field at the end of the day playing in the dirt.  What a good day!
We camped in the backyard and it was fun to break out the tent and "camp".  We wish you could have all been there with us to party.  Memorial Day weekend is fun.
Higgins had his preschool graduation this last week.  They sang great songs.  We can't wait to see all of you this next month.  We love you and love to be together!

The Lonely Goatherd

We were bamboozled into planning an act for our ward variety show after I clearly signed up in the column saying I would be willing to participate in someone else's act! I resorted to something I new and loved and planned to reenact the Lonely Goatherd from the Sound of Music. This was not an original idea by the way, I had seen it done for a stake roadshow while living in Hershey. We recruited some really good sports including my husband and daughter. The pictures tell the whole story though:
High on a Hill lived a lonely goatherd.
A prince on a bridge.

Men Drinking Cream Soda with the foam a float.
Three little girls in pale pink coats.

My really good sport dancers.
The beginning of our finale...
The circle gets bigger.

Alan really getting into it, I love him for it!
All of us on stage now...who is that lady not in costume.
And we all take a bow.

Amelia not wanting to leave the stage, or getting left behind more like it.
