I had the girls pictures taken last week......here are some of them, ok, a lot of them, but how do you pick right? They turned out really cute.

Scarecrows, the Ranch and Amelia (of course)

This last week we were able to go to the ranch to do some winterizing and then to Uncle Gary's 70th Birthday Party up in Pocatello. Uncle Gary was extremely surprised by his surprise party..in fact he almost missed it because he was fishing. He did end up coming though for the last 10 minutes and we had a great time. Here are a few pictures of the ranch, a few pictures from the scarecrow festival occurring in Malad and a few pictures of Amelia just for her Dad.

Family and Friends

We have loved being here in Utah for the chance to spend time with family. Here is Amelia with her Uncle Chris who was quarantined for a long period due to his undiagnosed health issues prior to getting this up close time with her.

We went to the zoo the other week with Lindsey and Amanda and there kids and it was one of the best zoo experiences we have had. This was the baby elephant Zuri, I think...she was quite the performer.

Amelia was thoroughly enjoying her outdoor zoo experience...as always. That sun just has a sedating effect on her.

For Labor Day weekend I flew out to North Carolina and we drove to Asheville to spend the weekend with some of our friends. I had initially not thought it was prudent to spend the airfare when Alan was planning on coming home the next week, but after a taunting text from our friends, I decided to go! The pre-pregnant Lindsay would never have hesitated. Amelia did great on the flights both ways. Such a seasoned traveler. When we hiked, each man took one child. Here Alan and Chad are carrying their wards.

I took the picture, but this was the rest of our crew. It was so great to see them all again.

We told them no dating until 16, but they still did a little courting on the trail.

Here is our little family at the Deep Creek trail waterfall. It was a nice hike.

And here is the cabin as we were packing up to leave. Abby's brother and his wife came for the last night which was great. They took this professional picture.

On our way back from Asheville, Alan and I stopped at the Biltmore to get some use out of our annual passes. The gardens and house were lovely yet again.

These were flowers on a flowering maple tree...I really liked them. I don't think I have ever seen a flowering maple tree like this.

All in all it was a great trip. If anyone ever sends you a taunting text saying, "What's money to friends and memories" consider going on the trip!
