Great Book!

I just finished reading "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins and it was totally entertaining! It is science fiction book (which is not usually my forte), but it kept me interested from the get go.

I know I haven't posted in a long time. I plugged my camera in to pull a picture off and couldn't resist putting something on the blog. Here are a couple pictures just to prove Mom and Dad were there and even rode bikes.

Nothing Exciting

Hello Family,

I am just posting because I get on and check and I am looking for funny stories, etc. and there is nothing. Well, we don't have much to talk about either but now you have to hear all about it!

We were really excited to talk to Mom and Dad when they arrived home from their first great adventure to Holland with Ang and Jed. We have not had time to get all the details, but in talking to Dad on their day of return and a little to Mom this morning, it is evident that they had a great time! Good work you two, and thanks for making it possible Ang and Jed. We are still excited to hear ALL the details.

We have just been hanging out and working. A few weeks ago I had a Thursday call thereby giving me a three day weekend and we headed up to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA. Both of which were fun. We recommend WaterWorld in Denver over Water Country, but Busch Gardens had some great rides.

The weekend after we were blessed to go camping with a lot of friends from our ward. It was great. We got there about 1opm since it was out by Asheville and then the next morning we went hiking to a waterfall with a sliding rock. Alan and I were the first to go down the sliding rock and then we went a few more times while we swam around. It was not until we were all packing up to leave that we saw a huge ~4 foot snake swimming right under the sliding rock waterfall where we kept landing! I might now have had as much fun if I had seen that prior to swimming. There were also some crazy people unrelated to our group who were jumping off the waterfall. They were just kids and I was sure I was going to get stuck doing CPR after one of them broke ther neck, but no such injuries occurred.

I worked Labor Day weekend and was on call both Friday and Sunday, but that gave me the actual Monday off. On Saturday we tried to go to an outdoor movie with some friend's but it go rained out and so we ended up having a nice game of BANG! and then on Monday we hung out with those same friends plus some new couples that moved into the ward and it was a barbeque success. We also learned how to play a lawn game that consisted of 4x4s and some throwing sticks...very easy to recreate and it was pretty fun. So, that was the week.

Today Alan put the second coat of paint on some crown molding that he is going to install for me (I am super excited) and I sewed dishtowels and completed the set (a big accomplishment for me) Anyways, that is us. How are the rest of you doing?
