We are the CHAMPIONS.....my friends!!!!!

That's right! Easton's team won the championship this year. What a FANTASTIC day. He was able to play on Weber State's Football field. It was such a great experience. Love watching my boy play.....and love watching his Dad coach him. What a great thing! GO WHITE LIGHTNING!

Abe's getting his victory picture taken early! :)

Getting their victory picture taken. Number #1 BABY!

They had the boys line up and the announcer introduced them all by name and number. SUPER COOL!

I actually took this picture of Easton playing at another game. I think it might have been up in Morgan?

What Did You Really Learn in Elementary School

Today I was thinking, for some odd reason, about things I remembered learning in school. I am curious to know what you remember learning...or what your most memorable school lessons were. Don't be shy!
I remember...
1) Technical Writing 4th grade: We had to write down how to make a peanut butter and jam sandwich and then the next day the teacher made them just to our specifications...it was hilarious!
2) The Holocaust: The day we learned all about the atrocities of the concentration camps they served hot dogs for school lunch. That seemed so wrong to me at the time.
3)Graphs: They made us graph everyone's height and weight on the board....I weighed the most in my class!

So, what do you remember learning?

Nickety Nackety

I was singing this song to Amelia today and wondering if I remembered all the verses so I looked it up online. There are some verses I don't think I had heard. They are missing the verse about riding to town on the old gray mule. Also they said that some school children sing it in the Alfred Hitchcock movie "The Birds" so goog for Halloween! For old times sake:
Nickety, nackety

I married my wife in the month of June,
Nickety, nackety, now, now, now;
I courted her home by the light of the moon,
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.

She combs her hair just once a year,
Nickety, nackety, now, now, now;
And every time it brings a tear,
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.

She weighs in a lump about 300 pounds
Nickety, nackety, now, now, now.
When she sits in a chair the thing breaks down
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.

She churns the butter in her daddy's old boot,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.
And for a dash she uses her foot
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.

She washes the pigs in the kitchen sink,
Nickety, nackety, now, now, now;
She makes the black ones all turn pink,
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.

The saddle and bridle lie on the shelf,
Nickety, nackety, now, now, now;
If you want any more you can sing it yourself,
Nickety, nackety, hey-eee dum dafferty
willaby wallaby rustical quality,
Nickety nackety now, now, now.
