Happy 40th Birthday Matt!

 The kids and I decorated the house and the outside for Matt's birthday.  You all probably know how much he HATES his car being decorated, so this was kind of a joke.  (He hid his car when we got married and had to hitch a ride back to our hotel after the reception--with my uncle).  He let me take a picture, but wiped it off quickly after. :)

 We got him this ridiculous shirt that he will never wear again.  Who knows, maybe one of you will get it in the mail when you join the 40 club.

 

As part of our decorations for the morning, Sydney and I made this.  40 Cokes!  When we wheeled it out in the middle of the night, it tipped over and we had to start over again.  

 Matthews gifts.  Our most exciting gift (at least for me), is that Matt and I are going on a short trip to Cancun in a couple of weeks.  It was supposed to be a surprise because I have been told that I am terrible at surprises.  Guess what?  I am terrible at surprises.  I sort of let the cat out of the bag a little early. 

 Matt asked Sydney to make him a strawberry pie and she did a FABULOUS job.  I seriously love what a great little chef she has become.
