Springtime

Me and the kids at the St George temple.  It is so white and beautiful.
We have gone to St George twice since the first of the year.  Steve has been going there to do some moonlighting shifts.  The last time we came back home the kids said they wanted to move to St George.  It's a lot of hanging out in the hotel watching cartoons, playing with those capsule sponges in the bathtub, coloring, and card games.  Then we've made some excursions to the hotel pool, hiking snow canyon, temple, brigham young house, parks, and of course McDonalds (which is part of the reason St George is so dreamy for the kids).  la-happy meals.  I'll be the first to admit I have encouraged more moonlighting shifts in St George.  Because we have such fun!
Hiking Snow Canyon.  Adelaide was
happy to be outside.

It was beautiful weather in February.
We all played in the Sand Dunes at the head of the canyon on our way back to the hotel.  The sand was so soft and packable.  Perfect for castles and tunnels (takes me back to recess at Tolman).
We found out that it is a popular play spot.

Steve's sister from Las Vegas came up
with her kids and hiked with us on
Presidents day along with
Steve's brother and his wife (Bud and Amy)
There was this big hole we found that had been
dug at the sand dunes and the kids had
a good time jumping in it.

Nice Steve
It was beautiful.

For Easter we went to the BYU Easter Egg Hunt.  There were so many kids there but we had such a good time and there was plenty of candy and prizes for everybody.  We felt like we really came home with some loot.  The kids got their pics with cosmo and the easter rabbit.  Super fun!

Henry reading the back of a cereal box.

Adelaide at 9 months.  She is a happy baby.
We went skiing in Feb.  We thought we would last an hour or two.  3 hours later we told the kids we had to go.  It was such fun and Henry talked about it for many days afterwards.  We stayed on the bunny hill for most the time and the kids really enjoyed themselves.  New tradition!

Hanging out on the hammock.

We played in the sprinklers a few weeks ago.  Great weather!

Steve's parents had a 40th anniversary party at the White House in Bountiful.  We had a good dinner and there was some dancing afterwards.  Steve (with some major coaxing and I guess I might have dished out a little guilt) accompanied me onto the dance floor for a song or two where we gave everybody in attendance something to watch and remember:)

Thank you for posting these great pictures Amanda. It was so fun to see what your family has been up to. Great fun! You look so great in the pictures in St. George. My kids would love that red sand pit.
