We went to the Fort Worth Historical Stockyards on Saturday. We were trying to make it to the cattle drive and thought we had plenty of time, but there was a parade that we happened upon that we were stuck in. We watched it for a little while and then decided that a horse is a horse is a horse (which was all we were seeing in the parade) and left to go around the other way to get to the stockyards. This is a picture of one of the long horn cows.

If you look to the left, you will see a man on a horse. After the parade, all of the participants came back to the Stockyards which was a treat for us. They were riding up and down the town streets. It was fun to see all of them.
The best part of the trip was to just be with Oma and Opa. The kids enjoyed playing games, watching a movie with popcorn, and going for a walk.
This was taken just as mom and dad were leaving. It was a fantastic trip and we can't wait for them to come back again soon.

I'm so glad that Mom and Dad came out and visited. I'm glad you had a good time. I can't believe how big Lottie's getting. Thanks for posting the pics Lisa. It was fun talking to you today....even if we kept getting disconnected. :)
